Quamar Lower Burr Carrier Bolt (8 x 16 mm)
Lower burr carrier bolt for the old Quamar T48 and T80 (Fiorenzato MS) grinders. Sized close to an M8 but cut with a 22 TPI / metric 1.25 pitch, and critically, it's a left-hand, reverse thread, a detail that trips up a lot of techs the first time they pull one of these grinders apart.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Thread: ~M8, 22 TPI / 1.25 metric pitch, left-hand (reverse) thread
- Drive: 17 mm wrench or socket
COMPATIBILITY
- Fits: Quamar T48, T80 (Fiorenzato MS) grinders, lower burr carrier
INSTALLATION
Straightforward with a 17 mm wrench once you know the thread direction, DIY for anyone comfortable pulling a lower burr carrier.
PRO TIPS
- Left-hand thread: turn clockwise to loosen and counterclockwise to tighten. Forcing it the "normal" direction is the most common way this bolt or the carrier gets damaged.
- No longer available from the manufacturer, stock on hand is limited, so don't round it off testing the thread direction.
