Taste the results of over one hundred years of passionate wine making .  The 2023 Four Danuga opens with a rush of sun-warmed blackberry, black cherry compote, and crushed raspberry, followed by that unmistakable southern Rhône signature—garrigue, dried lavender, cracked pepper, and warm stone after rain. Hints of smoked meat, olive tapenade, and a touch of licorice to balance the fruit

On the palate, it’s generous but not unruly.  Grenache’s plushness leads, wrapped in silky yet muscular tannins, while Syrah brings depth, spice, and a slightly iron-like edge. The vintage’s freshness shows in a lively spine of acidity that lifts the wine, giving it tension and length rather than sheer weight. The finish lingers with dark fruit, thyme, and a whisper of cocoa powder.

70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre.

This is a Gigondas that balances power with poise—built for lamb roasted with rosemary, duck confit, or a winter stew that’s been simmering all afternoon. Decant if you can, but don’t overthink it. Four Danuga is meant to be poured generously, shared loudly, and remembered fondly.
