Master Blender of Compass box, John Glaser, is a renegade in the industry with an unwavering commitment to his original creations. This new addition to the permanent range was inspired by a memory from early in his career. While on vacation in Spain, encountered an older Spanish man who took him through an impromptu tasting of local sherries, an experience of the region that was personal and magical. The Spaniard is made of Highland single malt whiskies aged in 48% sherry casks and 25% Spanish red wine casks, in honor of the time spent with that man. The whiskey is full and generous, with spices and ripe berries and a long, complex finish.
