Coalition Rye x Mash&Grape Margaux Barriques Private Barrel

Coalition is a new bold entry into the traditional world of Rye Whiskey. An estate product from Kentucky Artisan Distillery, located in Crestwood, Kentucky, it is a rare 100 percent Rye mash bill. No other grains! This handcrafted and intense Rye whiskey, aged for five years, was then peacefully resting in select Margaux Barriques (wine barrels) for another nine months. The subtle influence of smooth Margaux wine notes makes for a spirit with a fiery flavor that’s as full and rich as you have ever seen.

This particular barrel was chosen for especially strong Margaux properties: Dark attractive deep garnet and amber color, elegant in the mouth, great backbone and a long, pleasantly evolving finish. Coalition Margaux Barrique whiskey brings you subtle and utterly delightful floral tones of violets and lilacs, red fruit nuances, and a touch of roasted coffee beans.
