Chairman’s Legacy is a tribute blend honoring Laurie Barnard’s 1994 vision for St. Lucia Distillers — bringing together rums from two pot stills and the Coffey column still, with estate-grown sugarcane rum from Roseau freshening and balancing the molasses-based components. Bottled at 43% ABV with no added sugar or flavorings.
In 1994, then-Chairman Laurie Barnard set St. Lucia Distillers on a path to differentiation: commissioning three pot stills and replanting sugarcane that had ended in 1962. By 1999 the elements were in place and Chairman’s Reserve launched, beginning the export era of St. Lucian rum. Legacy is the blend that embodies that vision — a showcase of multi-still blending and molasses-plus-cane-juice character.
